IT ALL STARTED ON THEIR FIRST DATE..

In 1979, Ron took Tammy on their first date and brought her to this abandoned quarry site. It was a 20-acre plot of land in Sauk Rapids, Minnesota. He told her of his plans for the property and how he wanted to open a Trout farm. Ron later purchased the land, and they began building their dream. Ron & Tammy named the property Quarry 2. It became  known as a place where you could catch your own trout in a unique and relaxing atmosphere.

Molitor’s Trout Heaven Park

Everyone loved fishing at the trout farm. Many more people, including companies & corporations, saw Molitor’s as a place to get together with friends, family, and co-workers. The surrounding community began to recognize the unique quarry environment. It wasn’t just the fish or the environment that was bringing people in, it was Ron and Tammy’s attention to detail that enticed the crowds to come. The new name became Molitor’s Trout Heaven Park.

Molitor’s Haunted Acres

Over the years, many additions to the park were made, including ball fields, a mini-golf course, petting zoo, and trails for hayrides and sleigh rides. In 1998, Ron and Tammy decided they wanted to open a new attraction that captured their love for one holiday in particular. With that, Molitor’s Haunted Acres premiered, beginning an annual month long Halloween tradition. Molitor’s Haunted Acres has now grown into a huge show bringing in customers from all over!

THE PERFECT WEDDING VENUE

Many companies, corporations & private parties have enjoyed Molitor’s Trout Heaven Park for their annual gatherings. As time went on people recognized the unique setting as a perfect wedding location. The bookings started coming in, both as a ceremony and a reception venue.

In 2010, Molitor’s Quarry Grill & Bar became a reality. Ron and Tammy knew that their 20 acres of land had more than enough room to continue with all sizes of seasonal events. Molitor’s Quarry Events would continue on with the addition of an open all year round Grill & Bar. The doors opened to the new restaurant in September of that year. Many people have come through those doors.
